I've been listening to @robertlustigmd 's “The Hacking of the American Mind” the past few days, while at the same time attending much less to #softwareengineering and much more to #visualarts, especially #photography . And it dawned on me.

Writing software doesn't make me happy, and I think that's because working in tech means a constant sprint to the next elusive shiny. It's all inward, its innate beauty never really understood, and all (and only) dopamine (when it works).

For me, anyway.
